Borna disease was firstly defined at the begining of 1800 as a neurologic infectious disease. Borna disease admitted firstly as an infection of horses and sheeps was also seen in various species of animals. In recent years, it was started to research if it could be the reason of neuropsychiatric symptoms in human. In this report, it is aimed to put out the zoonosis characteristics of Borna disease. There are so many reseach that accept the Borna disease as a zoonosis and also there are the researchers that refuse it. Although there is no certainty, we must take into consideration of the zoonotic characteristic of Borna disease in all time.
