In the recent years, shellfishborne infections of Vibrio sp. have been increased rapidly in the world. Especially, the infections of V. vulnificus have became very important with its high mortality rate. V. vulnificus, which's main reservoirs are seawater and shellfish, is a bacteria that cause gastroenteritis and septicamia both linked to ingestion of raw or unproper cooked shellfish and wound infections associated with seawarter or shellfish.
