The control of tuberculosis, which is a global health-care problem all over the word, begins with the exact diagnosis made as soon as possible. In the stage of diagnosis, most important factors such as standardization, management and technical problems of the laboratory play critical role. But, the importance of the laboratories in the management of tuberculosis patients is generally neglected even in the developed countries. That this problem is even bigger in our country, in this revrew the aim of this revrew is to dıscuss both the process of the laboratories and the problems encountered during the stage of diagnosis of tuberculosis.
