Inadequate drainage and excision of infected subcutaneous benign lesion may lead to cutaneous fistula. We present a 17
year old girl who applied to our clinic with the cutaneous fistula located on the sternal area. She had underwent excision of a
subcutaneous lesion of which pathology was unknown, twice at diff erent clinics. Th e microbiological examination of the material
obtained from the fistula showed S. Capitis which is not a common pathogen for skin lesions.
