To report our experiences to the investigators in the field of testing autoantibodies is the aim of this study. Therefore, laboratory data collected durig two years has been evaluated retrospectively. In this period of time, 2869 sera have been tested for ANA existence. Of these 810 (28.2%) sera were found to be ANA positive. Anti-ENA test was performed to 208 ANA positive sera, of those 126 (60.5%) were found to be positive. Anti-ENA test was also performed to 313 ANA negative sera, of those only 4 (1.3%) were found to be positive. Although, sometimes the results of ANA test were evaluated as distrustful, it is thought that the experiences of the physician interpreting the results could solve the inconvenicence situation.
