Evaluation of the patients with positive Hepatitis G Virus markers |

Hepatitis G virus (HGV) is informed to be hepatitis virus but pathogenesis and clinical significance of HGV infection remains uncertain. In this study, it was aimed that 5 cases with HGV RNA positivite and 9 cases with anti-HGV positivite were evaluated for clinical symptoms and biochemical findings.
Clinical syptom has not been determined none of 5 patients who have only HGV infection markers. Of those all indicated ALT levels as between normal range. An exacerbate in disease course was not indicated in HBV and HCV of coinfection HGV with patients. In conclusion, this findings have supported opinion that HGV plays a role as innocent spectator in liver.
