Keywords: Measles, Seroprevalence, Micro-Elisa

Objective: The aim of this study was to collect data about measles seroprevalance in our region and to determine if young adults (18-28 years) dissociated from other age groups.

Methods: In total, 8654 samples were analysed with microelisa reagents within January 1st and November 30th, 2021. Samples were divided into three age groups: 8-17 years, 18-28 years and 29 years and above. Results from different groups were compared using chi-square test with p<0.05 considered as statistically significant.

Results: The average age was 25.8. Seventy percent of patients were seropositive, while 21% were seronegative. Rates of seropositivity were 52% in 8-17 years age group, 66 % in 18-28 years age group, and 87 % in 29 years and above age group. Differences between the age groups were statistically significant (p<0.05).

Conclusion: Our study showed that young adults did not have sufficient antibody levels against measles and were susceptible to it.
