Herbaspirillum huttiense is an oxidase positive, non-fermenting gram negative bacillus, belonging to the class
Betaproteobacteria. H. huttiense which has rhizosphere as general habitat is isolated from food like corn and
wheat, and from underground water resources. H. huttiense bacteremia is rare in humans, but has already been
reported in both immunosupressive and immunocompetent individuals. Here, a case of H. huttiense bacteremia
is presented in a patient with COVID-19 for the first time.
