While the long-lasting epidemic of tuberculosis (TB) still maintains its severity, the coronavirus infection disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has affected the whole world, health services and especially the global tuberculosis war much worse than expected. The clinical findings and radiological imaging of TB like COVID-19 will cause delays in differential diagnosis and treatment of co-infections. In this article, three cases of simultaneous active TB and COVID-19 infection are presented. The TB diagnosis of the cases was made by acid-fast staining, solid and liquid culture cultures. COVID-19 was diagnosed with the presence of clinical symptoms compatible with COVID-19 and a positive SARS-CoV-2 rtPCR test. It was determined that the patients had symptoms that can be seen in both diseases such as cough, fever and shortness of breath, and that all three patients had been vaccinated twice with an inactivated vaccine against COVID-19 before. Similar clinical findings in patients with active TB infection with COVID-19 were observed in these three cases. We think that vaccination of the cases against COVID-19 enabled them to have a milder course of infection. Health care providers must be vigilent against COVID-19 infection, which can be seen together with TB infection. We believe that in such cases, it will be important to evaluate the patients for both diseases, and perform appropriate microbiological tests to prevent misdiagnoses and delays.
