Urinary tract infections are common in all ages and cause considerable absence from work. Although the accurate diagnosis depends on both the presence of symptoms and a positive urine culture, in most outpatinet settings this diagnosis is made without the benefit of culture. Approaches to urinary tract infections at primary care were investigated in this study on 47 physicians working at 11 primary care centers in Sivas by surveys. In conclusion, it was seen that urinary antiseptics, vitamins were prescribed frequently by the primary care physicians for urinary tract infections as well as antibiotics and short term therapies were prefferred less in acute cyctitis .
