In this study, the occurence of Brucella abortus antigens in different cheese samples collected from Erzurum has been investigated by using enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Brucella abortus antiserum was used as antibody. Peroxsidase- labeled Protein G was used as conjugate. Hidrogen peroxidase (3%) and ABTS (2-2- azino di-3- ethyl benthiozaline- 6 sulfanate) in citric acid was used as substrate. Totally 120 white cheese, 60 civil cheese and 52 lor cheese were analyzed and 26 of totally 120 white cheese were found to be Brucella positive. In civil and lor cheese samples no antigen of Brucella was encountered.
