In this study DNase, Staphaurex, ID32 Staph methods were compared for identication of staphylococci. A total of 80 staphylococcal isolates were included. A tube coagulase test using citrated rabbit plasma was used as a reference method. In general all methods gave concordant results. The sensitivities and specificities, respectively, were 96,7% and 94,7% for DNase, 95% and 84,2% for Staphaurex, 94,9% and 100% for ID32 Staph.
