Brucellosis is an important disease which constitutes a major health problem in many parts of the world, particularly in developing countries. Human and animal infection with Brucella melitensis are common diseases especially in nomadic people of the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions. It also appears as an intrafamilial infection especially in families raising domestic animals in rural part of the region.
