An AIDS patient hospitalized at Haseki Education and Research Hospital, in addition to persistent diarrhea, increasing of pulmonary complaints were seen. Cryptosporidium oocysts and Microsporidium spores were determined in four different stool samples of the patient examined at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology. At the terminal stage of infection, a number of Cryptosporidium oocysts were seen in two sputum samples of the patient. Because of this case is the first pulmonary cryptococcosis and the first microsporidiosis in Turkey was reported.
