Lyme Disease is a systemic illness caused by spirochetes within the Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato genospecies complex. It can affect various organs and systems, including the skin, central and peripheral nervous systems, cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, and eyes. Diagnosis primarily relies on patient history and clinical manifestations, with serological tests aiding in confirmation. The lack of standardized diagnostic tests poses challenges for clinicians. This article presents a case of Lyme disease where difficulties were encountered in confirming the diagnosis through laboratory tests.
