The aim of this study is to isolate the bacteria from urine specimens of patients aged 0-5 years admitted to outpatient clinic of KSU Medical School Department of Paediatrics who were diagnosed as urinary tract infection, to isolate gram negative bacteria in these cultures and to determine the antibiotic susceptibilities of these bacteria Patients were consisted of 3 age groups (0-24, 25-48 and 49-60 months). The most common bacteria isoleted in each age group was E. coli. There were no strain resistant to ofloxacin and imipenem in all 3 age groups. The highest rates of antibiotics resistance of these bacteria by age groups were as follows: for amoxicilin-clavulanic acid (63.6 %) in 0-24 months, for trimethoprim-sulphamethoxasole (52 %) in 25-48 months, for trimetoprim-sulphametoxasol (58.1 %) in 49-60 months. There was no statistical difference between the highest rates of antibiotics resistance among ages groups.
