Within the last 10 years, beta-lactam resistance have emerged among Enterobacteriaceae. In this paper, we focus on some of the beta-lactam resistance phenotypes of Enterobacteriaceae that have emerged recently. The knowledge of these phenotypes may help to detect novel beta-lactam resistance mechanisms and their epidemiological features. Penicillinases, inhibitor-resistant penicillinases, cephalosporinases, extended spectrum beta-lactamases phenotypes features were analysed taken account on the diversity of Enterobacteriaceae.
