In this study, aqueous and methanol extracts of the walnut (Juglans regia L.) green husks and leaves were investigated for their
in vitro antimicrobial activities. Th e green husks and leaves were collected from Erzincan (Kemah) region. Th e antimicrobial
activity of extracts against some clinical isolates Candida spp (Candida albicans, Candida glabrata, Candida tropicalis, Candida
parapsilosis, Candida krusei, Candida kefyr, C andida guilliermondii, Geotrichum candidum); Gram negative bacteria (Pseudomonas
aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes) and Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus
aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis) were evaluated based on inhibition zone using the disc-diff usion assay, minimal inhibition
concentration (MIC) values. As a result of this study, water and methanol extracts of walnut green husks and leaves demonstrated
antimicrobial activity against S.aureus, S.epidermidis, P.aeruginosa, C. albicans, C. glabrata, C.tropicalis and C. kefyr isolates.
