In this study, nasal Staphylococcus aureus carriage and colonisation of methicillin resistant S.aureus were investigated in the clinical training of 85% students from Erciyes University Ataturk Health College Midwifery-Nursing programs. Distribution of the students with colonization according to the clinical departments was evaluated and then results were compared with 21 students who were not in hospital. Five of the clinical training students (5.9%), and one of the students (4.8%) who were not in the hospital were found to be as S.aureus carriers. One of the isolated S.aureus strain (16.7%) was resistant to methicillin.
