The aim of this retrospective study was to determine bacterial pathogens and their antimicrobial susceptibilities in hospitalized patients at Cumhuriyet University Medical Faculty Hospital in 1999. Pathogens were isolated from urine and wound samples. The most commonly isolated pathogens were as follow: E.coli from urine and Staphylococcus sp from wound samples. While Amikacin, Meropenem and Cefaperazon/Sulbaktam were also effectively to Gram-negatives, there was a resistance against to Ampicilline. We didn't examine any resistance against to Vancomicin in Staphylococcus sp.
